Year Two's Visit to St Andrew's Church

To help our topic come alive, we visited Father Allan at St Andrew's Church.

I have enjoyed the visits in Year 2. When we were finding out about why we wear poppies we visited Heworth Cemetery and the local War Memorial. I liked the visit to St Andrew’s Church when were finding out about a Christian Church. Some people in our class got to dress up in Father Alan’s church clothes. Father Alan christened a dolly in the font and it’s leg fell off. It was very funny. He christened her ‘Amy’.
Amy.
