We are investigators...

Year 4 have been learning all about 'Friction' in our Science lessons! This week, we have been learning about water resistance!

We planned and carried out an experiment to investigate water resistance! we made lots of different shapes from blu-tac and timed how long they took to travel to the bottom of a cylinder of water!
We found that the cone shape travelled the fastest!
Why do you think that was?

We learnt that the shapes which were most streamlined travelled the fastest and easiest through the water!
