The season changing to Autumn was a great way to explore our sense of sight and touch. We went on an Autumn walk around the school and spotted many signs of Autumn such as leaves changing colour, leaves on the ground, berries on trees, mushrooms and cobwebs. We gathered many objects to create some beautiful Autumn collages.
We talked about the seasons changing; especailly from Summer to Autumn - what a difference!!! We know that a Summer tree will be green with lots of leaves and in Autumn, apart from Evergreen trees, the leaves will change orange, red, yellow and brown and fall off to the ground.
While outside we also explored texture by doing rubbings of different surfaces around school. We were amazed at how different some were!
We spent time looking very very very close at some objects using the digital microscope, and found it quite amusing!!!
