Years 3 and 4 went on an exciting visit to Sunderland Winter Gardens to take part in a
'Jungle Explorers' workshop, as part of our current topic 'Rumble in the Jungle'. Have a look at our photos!
On our trip to the Winter Gardens we took part in a workshop where we learnt all about the different layers of the rainforest! We learnt which animals live in the different layers and why they like to live there! We learnt a little about the tribes who live in the rainforests, and how they use materials they find in the Jungle to help them in their everyday life! We even got to handle some of these objects!
Then came the really exciting part! We were given binoculars and magnifying glasses and sent out into the 'jungle' to follow a trail, to try and help Larry the Lemur! We followed the map which led us to different points in the Jungles where there was clues we had to solve. We had lots of fun solving them, and seeing lots of different jungle plants and flowers along the way!
