The Year 1 and 2 creative curriculum topic in the summer term was Weddings. We had the most amazing time, culminating in a real 'pretend' wedding at St Andrew's Church. Take a look at our amazing photographs.

Our science topic this half term is Light and Dark. We have been learning about natural and artificial sources of light. We had fun one afternoon making monster shadows. A shadow is made when light from the light source is blocked. We tried to stand on each others shadow. It was great fun!

Reception, Year One and Year Two had the pleasure of welcoming The Music Team to school and had lots of fun joining in.

Year one and year two had a wonderful time on 28th September 'Down on the Farm'. The weather was overcast but the rain held off and everyone had a fantastic time. The children enjoyed a huge variety of activities, some of which are depicted here. Year 1 have written their own captions under the photographs.

We saw lots of cows and calves.

We saw Santa's reindeer.

I washed the pig with a sponge.

I fed the lamb with a bottle of milk.

The whole school joined in a water fight to see off the 2009/2010 academic year. And what a year it has been. Thank you to everyone who has supported the school and a big thank you to the children who have made this year so enjoyable. Have a wonderful summer!

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Zoolab. Our visitor brought lots of crrreeeeeepppyy crawlies for us to have a good look at.

We were amazed to see these creatures which were on quite a grand scale. We managed to get our hands on Charlotte the Spider and Millie the Millipede . We were all very brave and touched a lot of the creatures that came to visit us. Miss Snowball even held a cockroach!

The children in Year 1 have been showing off their amazing tennis skills in style. Mrs Johnson was kind enough to give up some of her time to gain some training in Tennis. With this training came some brilliant new tennis equipment which Year 1 wanted to get their hands on first.
