Year Two's Visit to St Andrew's Church
To help our topic come alive, we visited Father Allan at St Andrew's Church.

I have enjoyed the visits in Year 2. When we were finding out about why we wear poppies we visited Heworth Cemetery and the local War Memorial. I liked the visit to St Andrew’s Church when were finding out about a Christian Church. Some people in our class got to dress up in Father Alan’s church clothes. Father Alan christened a dolly in the font and it’s leg fell off. It was very funny. He christened her ‘Amy’.

Puppets
Year Two really enjoy Creative Work.
Here is the evidence in their very successful display!

We are making hand puppets. Mine is going to be a hula girl with a green skirt. I have sewn it together and now I have to cut out the bits to put on it. I love making things.
